Turks & Caicos Islands

The Turks & Caicos are a group of over 40 islands located at the south eastern end of the Bahama chain, about an hour away from Miami and 12 hours from London.

Only eight of the islands are inhabited. The capital is Grand Turk but the most populated island is Providenciales. The famous twelve mile long beach at grace bay has been rated in the top 10 in the world by travel agents for successive years.

Beaches

The villa is situated in a quiet residential area. The nearest beach, Taylor bay, is about five minutes drive away. This sheltered bay is ideal for families and one of the best kept secrets on the island. Grace bay, ideal for snorkelling is about twenty minutes away.

Waters

Extensive coral reefs mean the water is safe for swimming and excellent for snorkelling. At the edge of the reef the sea bed quickly drops to a ‘wall’ - a diver’s paradise. The main reef crests at 30-35 feet, giving a spectacular display as the ocean crashes into the wall. The diving on offer here is rated among the top ten sites in the world.

Climate

The average temperature in the winter is 77 degrees and 87 degrees in the summer. The constant trade winds keeping it very pleasant and free from humidity.
